Radish Trailer (Up date)

I picked this up from a farmer a few days ago. He said it was an old Radish Trailer. The frame was home built and the bed is unknown. I just picked up the Toyota tail gate today.

Looks like a fun project and will turn into a great trailer. Any thoughts on what type of suspension in the future?

3500 lb axle and springs, that is the only axle that the six lug hubs will fit, that I could find. ABC Trailer quoted me $200.00 for the springs, axle, hubs, misc parts plus shipping, that was the best deal I could find. ABC said they can make the axle to order at no additional cost, made in the USA.

These guys have been great to me so far. They have answered about 300 questions I have had, and they are my vendor for sure for my axle. I am going with their 3500 lb axle with 2000 lb springs... no one else can get near their price!

Looking forward to the build up.

Back from the dead

It's been over a year since I got this trailer finally did some work to it. Got a 3500lb axle from ABC and welded it on today, I have been learning to weld so I sucked it up and decided to put my new skills to the test.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, I will bring a better camera next time.

I did some more welding. Made a Lunette riser mount so the trailer will ride level, feel free to comment, better ideas? I also tacked up the frame for the bed, it's one inch square bed will be 60x46x17.

I want to see it with the tailgate on it. I have an almost identical trailer, but the body on mine is in really good shape. The body is a bit bigger than the frame, about 70x48.

The fenders themselves are 10.5" or 11" I cant remember the exact width.

nice work on the radish trailer

Did some more work, "$50.00 paint job", Bedliner, Mounted fuel cans, Wired.. Shake down cruse in Death Valley May 6-9. Will see how my welds hold up:o The tailgate does not look as good as the rest of the paint, gonna try and color sand it one more time to smooth it out.
