i bought this off a buddy that was unloading it. has anyone mounted one on yakima A1 towers or even on top of a mega warrior? it's riding in the back and it takes up a lot of space. thanks

I ran a load warrior for a while several years ago. Think about this: if you put it up on the roof, how often will you be getting into it? Also, how heavy is it with what’s in it, because you should not carry heavy items on the roof? You’re probably gonna tie it down with ratchet straps and those will need to be checked frequently. Also, if you use parking garages, it may not fit anymore with the box on top. Just some things to think about from someone who’s gone through it before.
As mentioned above you may really want to consider what you are going to use it for. If you are going to use it for light weight stuff, camp chairs, recovering gear etc. With it being on the roof and non-insulated I assume no liquids.
I would look at the option of drilling out the box and use some standoff and some steel strips to run the bolts through as a way to hold it down to the roof rack. Run them parallel to the box and I would do a minimum of three holes maybe even 4 then on the inside use the steel strip to reinforce the bottom of the box.

yeah. the parking garage thing is tricky. i barely fit as it is. but say i was road tripping. do you need to buy their proprietary systems and have a flat roof rack i guess is what i meant? it's kind of a pain to have it all in the back. that said if i put it in there and put stuff in it it's going to be hard to steal the stuff in it so there is that...
I have an old school ARB rack on my 80 and it is pretty low and I can not even pull into my garage fully to work on my 80. Traction boards would put me over the top.

i found the site and the mounting hardware. it looks like i need a flat rack with a bunch of holes in it to mount it using their hardware.
also it looks like its $200 for the mounting hardware which is what i paid for the box.
maybe i need to go to home depot and see if i can mcgyver it. i dont think i want to drill holes in the bottom but maybe thats the solution...

hmmm. i guess they also sell basically tek screws to mount the brackets to some kind of solid surface. so i could maybe solidly mount some kind of aluminum panel...
Maybe just ratchet strap it for a short while just to see if you want it up there 1st. Then if you like it, you can go hog wild for however you want to permanently attach it.
