wow. they grow like absolute gang-busters out there...just stick them in the ground, water them daily and they just throw out fruit like there's no tomorrow. I even have an heirloom variety from last season that "volunteered" on the side of one of my raised beds this year.
but...having said that, the climate here seems to be ideal for tomatoes, since they grow tons commercially in my area.
You should grow some avocado trees...they grow well down where you are, but it's just too hot where I live...I've had no luck with them.
