Yet another drawer build

Spent a good bit of the weekend working on a drawer build for Manny. 3rd set that I have made, everyone a little different.

Still some work to do (Obviously) but time for a beer and a cigar.

Most importantly, DOG approved !

Pretty cool, what type, length, & lbs slides did you use? Also, how do you plan to keep the drawers locked closed and open?

I need to go back and look, but I think they were 24", 200lb slides.

The latch will keep the drawer closed. For holding them open, in the past I have used a metal pin the went through the top and into one side of the drawer.

Finished the hard stuff tonight. Now to get it carpeted and looking nice.

Cool, what did you finish it with? It just looked like rattle can in your previous photos.

Rattle can on everything as I put it together. Finished off with carpet on the top and front.

This is super nice. Do you know how much the whole thing weighs?

No I'm sorry, I don't. It is pretty heavy due to using all 3/4" plywood. My wife and I lift it in and out as needed.

You could make it a good deal lighter going with 1/2" for the drawers and top.

@gearguywb Is the only thing your using to secure the drawers the metal tensioners? If so, how many? 4? I assume that is so you can easily remove the drawers if needed.

Same question on securing. I want to build something similar. But mine would reserve the front 10" for 8" subwoofers.
