So I was surfing CL looking for some project for the holidays and came across some unfinished custom sliders for sale in town! :grinpimp: Thanks to Bryan in Ahuatuke, AZ, who sold them to me!
These are 80% finished, all that needs to be cut and built is the outrigger Frame to slider that connects USPS under the cats! But all the hard stuff bends, sliders(running board sides) and kickouts + all 3 outriggers on USDS are ready to weld to the hanggers just the under cat to complete!
I have to admitt.. I am totally psiched for the finishing + build! :D These are Super Stout! :p All 1/4 inch wall steel and good welds so far! :grinpimp:
Any Advice + Ideas are welcome!

Stay tuned for more pictures and a write up of the build!
Original CL add below:
Rock Sliders for a 1991 thru 1997 Toyota Landcruiser FZJ80 or Lexus LX450

Custom fabricated - Very heavy duty. 2" Dimple tread plates. .250" wall construction

Bolt on or weld on option.

Runners are complete. But, mounts need to be finished.

Drivers side mounts fabricated, but need to be welded in place.

Passenger side mounts not fabricated, material included to finish.

Unfinished project. Have been in the garage for a very long time. Slight surface rust from humidity.

Compare to $1000 FZJ80 sliders, but much more stout. I would not hesitate to put these on a serious rock crawler.

Simple project to finish if you have a grinder, chop saw and a MIG welder in the garage.

Not Sure yet.. I am mulling the idea of turning the cats, and then making to mounts under them with a plate in between.. Since I have an extra hanger.. total of 7 it should not be too much extra work? Depends on how much $$ a muffler shop wants to turn the cats.. Gotta complete everyting between 20th Dec and 5th January while I am on vacation, so we will see what works out better time-wise. If I dont do it during my vacations the parts could be relegated to garage duty and we know what that leads to.. 2 years later back on CL :lol::lol:

I have built a few sets with that same type of frame mount. If I had to guess the part circled in blue should be facing up toward the pinch weld. In my experience if you stack the arm on the bracket (like the part circled in red) the arm will contact the pinch weld when they are tightened up.

Good find - those are seriously beefy.

The under cat portion was a royal pain.. But it turned out great! Enjoy the pics!

These are now for Sale in the Phx Area.. Rock Sliders VERY HEAVY DUTY Land Cruiser 80 Series, FZJ80 FJ80
Decided to go lighter and more expedition than rock crawling.. They have served me well and have saved my rocker pannels plenty of times..
Im less into rocks and more into driving down to Baja and Expedition stuff now. !

For sale.. $400 in Phoenix.. I had them listed for a while on CL.. no calls.. then realized I had typed $900... not $400.. Anyhooo.. I dont do much rock crawling any more.. so I'm not putting them back on.. If anyone wants them they are easy to bolt on.. And ready for painting again.. or powder coating or whatever.. I'll lend a hand to install them since it does take at least 2 people to put them on.. :steer:
