grade 5 is pretty easy to drill thru. If you have a pair of old front turn signals that are of no use, you can use the stem & bolt cuz that has a hole thru the middle. It's like hollow all-thread

you might be able to use threaded household lamp pipe, not sure the exact name but the big box stores and your local ace hardware will probably carry it,, it is how the cord gets to your table stand light, light bulb...I have rebuilt some lamps before and it looks almost identical to the mounting 'bolt' on some kc lights I have
