I can look at my 40 in the light tomorrow...If I am home early enough. I am guessing that the dash depth is the big difference. If you to to the post I listed it show pre 7/70 and post. Mine is 7/70 and identical to my 7/75.

what kind of booster? OEM?

Centered: Yes.

Thanks for that post Eric. I still couldn't quite tell the difference between pedals.

Main difference that I see in the photos is a little metal curvature and lip thickness and it appears an extra mounting hole or two. Most of the curvature is at the driver end (away from the firewall) and so just there I would guess to accomadate brackets for column shifters or the like? Guessing :frown:

I'l have to go look at my 7/70 Booster in the garage. I think they are the same. My pedal sits a little higher than my clutch...but :crybaby: I just looked at them again on the firewall and my "aftermarket" clutch is leaking. Just changed it and the slave and slave line a year or so ago. Conversley, My OEM changed on my 40 6+ years ago is still good to go.

John, indeed the 40 box is shorter and wider with a pedal that sits differently w.r.t. the column. But I did this in the dark so, I can not really say exactly how it all differs.

Maybe overkill. Hope that helps. Kinda hard to shoot at night with the flash.
