Get a haynes manual or FSM and trace out the wire colors. gas tank sender wire is yellow with a red tracer.
all the wire to the back of the cruiser should be in it.
Harness does run along DS floorboard, over wheelwell, behind cargo panel(in quarter panel) and out(under cargo area floorboard) and across tailgate area

They are ALL inside. I stripped mine of everything except the harness on the way to the back. Nothing was outside. From what I remember, it goes back the DS as Brett says, then goes across the back to the PS lights, etc. under the back sill. Then to the tailgate out the rubber tube from there.

The body harness usually doesn't get hacked too badly, it's the engine side that gets messed with by PO's.
