I'm sure one of the experts will chime in - but coax by definition is fully shielded. And you're only ever using one radio or the other. In other words would you ever be listening on the Ham while transmitting on the CB? Also you are low power on both if the Ham is hand held.

I wouldn't lay them touching together but I don't think they need to be more than a couple inches apart. Maybe someone has more info.

Can't really tell from the photo but is that a rafter (bunch) of turkeys descending that hill??? Don't know if turkeys live in your part of the world.

Edit: I'd try to put the ham 1) centered on the roof or 2) rear of the roof but above the roof line. Hand held to go to a magnet roof mounted antenna with decent range.
