Bump. Nothing? I'm going to chrome my original stock wheels, then buy 4 new chrome caps, but I still wanted one of these till I can get that done.

Not to butt into something that's none of my business, but have you considered the aging factor of the chrome plating? I bought my '95 (used) w/what looks like dealer-optioned chrome wheels (except the spare). Sixteen years later, the 4 chromed wheels look like crap (hard to clean, flaking chrome, etc...), but the original un-chromed spare still looks great. I've been using the spare in a 5 tire rotation for several years (even though it doesn't match).

I've seen the original aluminum wheels powder-coated and they can look real nice. I was thinking someday I might go that route with a light gray (close to the color of the aluminum) powder coat so that any eventual scratches from wheeling might not be to noticeable. Just my $.02... Good luck finding a center cap! There are enough 80's with custom rims that you would think it wouldn't be too hard to find one...

Thanks for the input. I have a buddy who gives me great deals on chroming, and his plater is top notch. The key is to take care of the wheels right from the get-go, which I will do. My LC is mainly a kid hauler, drum hauler, every once in a while camper, so I'm not worried about wheeling damage. Wish I could find some Lexus wheels, I love that groove down the center of the spokes.
