I blew a head gasket. The motor got hot. It has not been diagnosed yet beyond the head gasket being bad. A low mile new engine is just one of a several options I want to at least evaluate. I've got 260k miles and so looking at low mile replacement in addition to considering repair paths and $ options of "do it while you're in there" stuff on a 260K motor.
