Lookin for a BJ42. 3B and the rest of the drivetrain (4spd or 5spd is OK) should be in good shape. If the body's shot, I don't want to pay very much for it. If the body's good, I'll pay more, obviously...

I'm not looking for a beautiful restoration, here. I intend to use and abuse it as something I can daily drive and also beat on trails. :)

Willing to import from Canada, or buy in the US. I'm Canadian, so I could use my one-time import exemption on this one if it's an '83 or '84...

Finder's fee of $500 (USD) offered if I buy a Cruiser you find for me, so get busy. :D

You know, that Ash guy never even returned my email. I am so impressed with his business acumen. ;)

The check's in the mail. :flipoff2:

Something seems fishy to me... The Ash guy is linking to photos of cruisers that belong to a guy I've delt with in Florida. The BJ42 in the photos is now listed on eBay:

I bought my HJ47 from the guy in Florida and he followed through on everything, though his communications is a bit spotty at times. PM me if you want his phone number.

Mall Guy,

Hey there . . . it's Justin from Vancouver BC. I know of an '84 BJ42 for sale. Test drove it yesterday. It's got factory p/s and h55f 5 spd tranny. It lives in Vancouver. Price $7500 CDN neg. The owner is a really nice guy so go ahead and give him a call. Here's his number (604)616-3916. Hope it works out for you!

Cheers,

Justin

Hey Justin, thanks! For some reason, I never got the email about your post to this thread.

I've had some stuff come up in the last couple weeks, and I can't buy anything right now. That rig sounds about perfect for me, though!

Hopefully in a couple weeks, things will get sorted out and I'll have a good-paying job again. We shall see...
