I have an older set of doors 64? these have a slot to slide a glass window up/down they also have bug catcher vent windows metal is in good shape. Rockntag@msn.com

These doors if they have a slot with a slide instead of a roll up and down window would be pre 1962. They will work on a 1964 but not a 66. The bug catcher vent window doors match the windshield with the vent under it . When you install them on the later style top they stick out at the top. 1965 seems to be a change year. My 1965 FJ45LPB has the later vent windows but still has vent in the bottom of the windshield. I guessing the windshield changed when the vent windows changed so some 1965s will have the vent window but match the later tops. One of these days I need to checked it. But all doors I've seen 1962 and later hand roll up windows not sliding one. That I being said I might be interested in the early doors if they have the sliding windows.

Thanks for that info. I've never seen a 62 with the early doors. Whats the VIN on your 62 ? I would like to know so I can better tell when they started the roll up windows. The 65 thing is still a mystery how they made the change. My 65 FJ45 looks like it has the later size windshield but still has the vent in the bottom. But that may have been a 45 thing since the top attaches different then the 40. I know I have seen both style tops for 65. The later windshields angle in just a little while the earlier one are basicallystraight which is why the doors won't fit right on the different windshields and tops. Does anyone have the later vent windows that match the earlier windshield?

Do these door have a handle to roll them up or or a knob that you loosen and then tighten when the window is where you want it? Which side is the window broken on? I have a set of the very early style doors but I missing a window and some parts. I also have a lead on some early doors with the roll up windows. I just need to get them accross the country. I also have a half dozen sets of soft top doors, two sets matching the early soft top door openings so I wouldn't be interest in those but I'm sure if you posted them in the for sale section someone would want them. The hinge sets for the soft top doors would probably be a big plus if selling soft top doors.

John they have a handle that you slide the window up/down this handle sides up a slot in the metal panel of doors. Left drivers side door glass is broken both vent windows are fine Dave I have 2 66's fj40 just sold a 67-66 fj45lwb and a 65 fj45 wagon... I can shoot pictures sat. if interested at all thanks.

I be interest in some pictures of the doors. You can Email me some at jpendel1 AT cs DOT com. Of course my broken window would have to be on the driver's side too. Is the slide and everything else still there?

The 45 LV has it own style of doors but I would think the 66 40 and 45 pickup should be the same. But should not have the bug catcher style vent windows.
