I had a 60k mile service done at a local Lexus dealer on Sat, March 27. Today, going through paperwork, I noticed this:
4 00279-000T4-01 ATF T - IV QUART $30.00
My 2004 LX takes and always had WS ATF. I had positive experience with the dealer in past, and took the truck there, since I cannot do my own PM work at the moment (open heart surgery).
All TSB papers I could find state that WS is not compatible with anything in big, bold letters. There is even a categorical notion of discarding the overflow clean, new fluid immediately - no reuse. I simply cannot fathom how a cert tech could do this. If I come back, I am sure they will reassure me with their regular 'it's a wrong tag scan' or similar. But how can I be sure after this?
