Well, I guess I got lucky. I was outside my garage the other day bolting in a friends CO2 tank before CM06 and my neighbor drives by and asks what we are using the CO2 for... airing up we said.

He then brings me over to his garage and gives me TWO 20lb CO2 tanks... FOR FREE! He just wanted them out of his garage, I think he used to home brew. Got them filled today at the local welding shop and now I am sitting on TWO full CO2 tanks for a bit over 40 bucks in gas! WOO HOO!

Anyhow, I have searched the site looking for a source for a good static non-freezing CO2 regulator... but I didn't find a specific model #. Anyone have a good lead?

Also, how have some of you mounted your "20lb-ers" in your 40. I am thinking of mounting up on the rear of my tire carrier swing out... but that is still up in the air. What kind of mounts have you fabbed or used?

THanks in advance-

I have a new vehicle mount for a 20 lb bottle that I'll sell for $25 plus shipping from Seattle. The wife gave it to me a couple of years ago, but I only have a 10 lb bottle. :^(

I'll find and attach a photo of it.

I think if you do a search you will find that a lot of people are using regular regulators without freezing problems.

Edit: they aren't as fast as the expensive ones but you will still be waiting for your buddies to finish airing up with electric pumps.

Thanks for the links, I will post up the costs.

I appreciate it.

Thanks, I would love to see it.

It's the same as this 10# vehicle mount from Outback, only slightly larger for a 20# tank. It can be mounted through the base or through the back.

It's new in the box. I can't use it with my 10# tank. :frown:
Let me know if you are interested.

I have two 20 lb bottles as well.. Bought them both together at a swap for $20 or something like that.. Bought two regulators on eBay way back for another $20.. I do get some freezing but I can do eight 33s from 15 to about 30 psi with no trouble.. Watch the fingers though, you can get a burn from the cold..
