I am considering putting some FJ cruiser wheels on my 1985 FJ60 with a four-speed transmission. The tires on these wheels are 265/70-17. Im wondering how the truck will drive with these wheels and if it might be a halfway decent substitute for a 5 speed gearbox, allowing me to get up to modern highway speed because of he increased gear ratio.. I understand i might need wheel spacers. Any thoughts on this idea? These are the wheels im looking at.

Yes. Those tires are 31.7” tall, so they will act as rubber overdrive on the freeway - and overdrive in every gear. I don’t know if those wheels fit the FJ60. Maybe?
