Wolfbox Rear View OEM bracket that works for '95 FJ80?

I will absolutely shamelessly plug our mirror we did with LucentVue for the 80. If you want it to function as a mirror, you push the button to turn off the display and voilà! And it is a bolt in for the 80 with detailed instructions on how to install.

Looks like a great option. Is the customizable section in the upper right only visible when the display is on?

No, i talked to wolfbox, and this is what they recommend for our 80s
I've just learnt that we're in the process of supplying adapted bases for the #1 OEM mount. (I have attached a picture of the base) If you can re-move the stock mirror and stand this base on the front windscreen, I think you will be able to use the #1 mount.
About getting the base: you just need to place an order for the #1 stand on our official website, and then note in the order that you need the base.

I'm finally getting around to installing my Rugged Overland rear view mirror and I really like how clean your wiring is. I'm assuming you the wires went over to the left, then down to the fuse box area for power. That's where mine went. Rugged Overland uses clips across the top of the windshield but I'd love for everything to be buried if I can do it without breaking things.

Edit - also, does anyone know how to remove the plastic trim that covers the OEM rearview mirror base? I usually just stick a flathead screwdriver and try to pop them off, but mine seems extremely tight fitting and it's old and I'd like to not break it if possible

Hey, thank you for supporting us!!! We have since ran the wiring up the A-Pillar and out through the over head console. I used a fish-tape from the bottom kick panel area up to the sun visor (removed) to pull 2 small lines of paracord back down. I used one of them to pull the harness up, then kept the second in place for any future jobs. From there I removed the overhead map light and used the fish tape again to pull the harness from sun visor mount to the map light. This ended up being a lot easier then I originally thought.

The trim that covers the factory mirror mount clips on from either side and you can gently pry it open to pop it off. I'll add a pic shortly!

I really cant thank you enough for the support, it means the world to us!!

Joe

Here is the inside of the factory trim cover, you can see the side clips, it will install on our bracket exactly the same as OE 🤘
