Hi all,

has anyone installed a rear dashcam?Any hints and tips on how/where running the wire that connect the front one to the rear one?

thanks in advance, Lorenzo

I installed a front & rear set of Thinkware cams, can't be all the different.

I mounted the rear cam at the top center of the rear glass. Fed wire inside the plastic trim (pulled one edge of trim loose, didn't take it off, just loose enough to see in there). Found the path OEM wiring goes from liftgate into the main body and fished the wire through that. That was the hardest part. Had to pull the rubber sleeve off both ends, fish wire then get the ends back in place. Didn't much like working with edge of headliner to get wire out, but did without damage. For routing after that, I simply pushed wire in between trim and the headliner along driver's side until I made it up front. Used a plastic trim tool to help push wire into some of the more difficult places (around corners by windows).

Sorry, didn't take pics.

EDIT: remembered I watched this video before installing. Hope that helps.

yep, followed the same approach except went down the passenger side. Toughest part was that grommet on lift gate.
