I want to put in a lighted switch for my fog lights. I'd like the switch illumination to be tied in to the parking lights circuit.

Do I just run a jumper wire from a nearby dash gauge light or is there a more correct method?
Thanks.

What type of switch are you using?
Almost every aftermarket switch I know uses the power that goes through the switch to the item you are controlling to power the light when it is on. There are no illumination only light circuits.
An option would be to find a factory switch which has a separate lighting circuit and use that.

It is a fancy Contura switch with completely separate connections for the illumination bulbs.
Because it is a double throw switch, there are 7 connections on this one switch.
