I got an after market wiper washer motor/resevior from CCOT for my 74 FJ40. I wired it up and tested it on the battery +/-. The motor worked fine pumping weater with either the blue or black wire to +. I grounded it on a bolt (using black) and wired the blue to my wiper switch in the dash. The wiper switch works fine on low and high. It has a factory plug that goes to the back of the switch. This plug sets on twopairs of prongs and a single prong. In front of these prongs is another solo prong that does not touch the factory plug. When the switch is turned (presumably to activate the washer) it contacts an arm that goes directly to this prong. I assume this is the on ethat activates the washer. When I wire up the washer to it (having tested the washer off the battery first) it does not work on the switch. I reinstalled teh switch into teh body/dash in case that influenced ground. Ignition is on and wipers still work. Still - no washer.
What a complicated way to explain a simple project. No wonder I can't get it to go.
Any ideas? Thanks. Matt
