I used safelite last Dec. $230 installed. Cracked by march. Still cracked a year later. I feel like I got my money's worth. It was screwed in place from the time it was replaced before. I'll get it done corectly at some point. Maybe in the spring.

I live in an area that gets so cold, the only thing they can put on the roads in the winter is gravel...it is a small ground gravel, but gravel nonetheless. Let me just say that everyone goes through about 1 windsheild a year, and it is just a fact of life up here.
I have had a crack for close to 8 months on a 12 month old car...went to get it replaced the other day and was quoted $1900+?!?!?! It will be there until spring.
Insurance will not cover any windsheild replacement...Don't feel that bad. More of a PITA for you than anything.
