Window trim replacement

Struggling to replace a piece of window trim on my 200.

There are two metal tabs in the door. Then the trim piece has a channel that I assume fits in there.

I can’t get the new piece back in there.

Should I bend them open a bit. Worried about breaking them.

Bump. I realized these “tabs” should be closed and the trim goes around them and snaps in place?

Is that true?

If so they may have been bent by me and I bent them back and the trim goes into place but not securely. Any advice would be appreciated.

Just go to toyota, they will square it away for 1 hour or less labor.
