Winch mounting

I need to modify my front bumper a little bit, I think just to cut out a little bit of the top skin near the winch cavity, to fit my fancy new unit
Anyone nearby be able to give me a hand doing this. The plate is (going off memory here as I'm at work right now) is 3/16" or 1/4" thereabouts, and I don't have anything to cut that, nicely at least.

Gees , what is happening to cruiser heads? Long ago all they could afford was cheap beer as everything else was going into parts.

Debating if I should mod the rear bumper to put this baby there, and keep the 8274 for the front.

You would be silly to replace the 8274.
I am swapping my xd9000i for an 8274.

Well not really replacing per se. Jason made the bumper to fit an 8274, but I have yet to put one in there as it sits strewn across my work bench as I try to make one out of 3.

My vote is keep the front 8274 and mount the inferior one in the rear..you know you want to..I'm sure the wife will understand ,being your always doing solo's with the kids.

Well have to agree mod the rear and mount the 8274 in the front
On my willys have a m 8000 on the front been used 2 times
The old bellview in the back gets used all the time
And will be changed to a 8274 when I put it back together

I didn't see the tequila that the resort gave me, complimentary, on the top tequilas list. It seemed to get the in the mood so it was top rated in my books.

2plus years later and I finally got around to installing it. And it even works!

It turned out to be slightly easier than I originally thought, still took 8 plus hours though. I had to add 4 new mounting holes about an inch or so lower than the existing and trim the bottom of the cable cut out. After partially removing the grill, I decided to remove the bumper to get it on with the solenoid pack in the original position. I debated moving the pack into the engine bay, but since I had no extra cable I left it as is.
After a little research about which battery to wire it to, I ended up wiring it to the starting battery as the general internet consensus told me this was more prudent because of loads/relays/electricalmumbojumbo.
Had to buy new bolts, the ones TJM supplied with it didn't seem to factor in any mounting plate thickness.

The wireless remote is pretty cool, I can see that being quite usefull.

Still have the 8274's apart on my bench, I'll get to them again one of these days.
