winch mount bumper

picking up a used 12000 lb warn and wondering if the winch mounts are universal or do i need a heavier duty one. also getting ready to build a front bumper for this beach and wondering if .25" is thick enough for the bulk of this bumper with a 1 inch plate to the frame for the d shackles. or is it overkill. thanks dont know how hardcore this is but it semed to be the right place to post .

I believe the 12k mounts to both the feet AND forward-facing, like the 8274.

I've bent 1/4" with my 8274, but if it's braced well on the vertical sections, it should work.
