winch cable

I just bought a warn 8274 winch and the 5/16 cable is in good shape except the loop holding the hook is secured by 3 mini type u-bolts. Does anyone know where I can get some sort of ferrule or compression fitting to "clean up the loop"

if you mean real wire rope clamps, it may not be pretty but it's perfectly fine if done by the book.

Just watch out for the dead horse...
