will the solid front axle off of the model before my 1990 toyota extended cab pickup fit my truck?

im gonna guess and 84ish? after that really rounded nosed pickup. i wanna say a second gen...

Yes, all Toyota mini truck front axles are the same, except for the trusses.

IIRC they are narrower then the 85 and later axles so you will need wheel spacers up front. That way you keep the track width the same front and rear.

IMHO the best way to solve the track issue is to use your ifs hubs and calipers with late FJ40 or FJ60 rotors and Sky's kit. This nets better, later type vented brakes. Some are using Tacoma rotors, they mount on the outside of the hub, making repairs easier.
