Will 35x12.5x15 BFG M/T fit on my 72?

Im building a 72 FJ40 with a 4 inch lift, shackle reversal, and HD no-lift shackles. Will 35x12.5 inch tires fit on my uncut body?

minor trimming in the rear is what ive heard and read,however ive heard of some guys clear with 35s on a 4inch lift,personally i would flex it before hacking it.

Do a search, there are a few threads on 35x12.50s with a SU 4" lift with some good pictures.

Most said they have to trim the rear, but it depends on how hard you are gonna wheel/flex it

What wheels, B/S?

Driving around town youll be fine with no trimming. If you flex it much though, you will be hitting some of the rear fenders. It doesn't take a lot of trimming, but some. I would flex it some with a fork lift or something that will allow you to slowly lift the wheel up into the wheel well and see how far it will travel. Just my 2 cents.

Redneck is correct.I personally see cutting in your future.Forklift flex it and once you soften it up...get busy.You'll be rubbing at the backside of your quarters.You are at the point of no return.You are now infected with a disease for which there is no cure.

I ran them for 3yrs with a 4" lift extended bump stops and called it a day. now same lift running 38" swampers flipped the rears and did some minor trimming done deal.I don't do much rock crawling so up travel isn't that important.

I ran these on my old '72 that had a 2.5 inch lift. You will have to cut the rears. One thing that isn't mentioned here. The front tires will flex into the fenders and if you need to turn right or left the tires will catch on the lugs will catch on the lip of the fender and cut them to shreds. I learned this the hard way. I know that you are running a 4" lift but just a warning to watch out for this.
