Twin turbo. How much power is that 1FZ making? He still has an AFM... I always wondered what a fully-built 2JZ-GTE would be like in a Land Cruiser.

In March 2004 we bought our transport means for Africa travel. White Toyota Landcruiser HZJ 80 Africa edition. construction year 1992, 260,000 km driven.
Initially the car has been used by the UN, in the former Yugoslavia. Afterwards a number of the car years service as a service car has done at 4x4Parts in Culemborg. And now we are the gelukkige owner.
There are a lot (onder)delen to the car which is examined, discussed and where we with other people have discussed. Our Landcruiser will transport us about 40,000 kilometres, with the roof tent serve as our maisonnette and our property will will accommodate. Already rapidly appears that there are roughly two camps with consultants. The one where you after result well almost new car have, which has been prepared to the most extreme situations and the other which understand also and have experienced that you cannot prevent all breakdown. Moreover is possible it there nevertheless also and other one in Africa himself is repaired if necessary. Therefore our conclusion is, which the car must be technical well and the institution this way functional and comfortably possible and further sees we it, however. Or we eventually the correct choice has made to replace certain (onder)delen yes or no or to adapt, we just might come during our travel.
We are very glad with all tips and recommendations which we have got concerning the car and the institution of it. Van Aad from also advanced, of Rupert from Australia, peter and Nicoline from North district, of Camiel from Amsterdam, and during 4WD the training in Oss.

The fuel tank
At purchase of the car the car had 2 refuels, where together 155 litres diesel go in. We go from that to this sufficient fuel reserve there offer on our travel.
Reduction
On the front 2 extra large head lamps have been put, the their service must prove during driving in dark. Even if it is the intention this way little possible in obscurity drive.

Our links are well and can km still a lot drive. That can continue do them thus, to them and then replace we they have worn out in Africa. Moreover we have two reserve wheels with links. In our garage travelling box we take along 4 reserve binnenbanden.
Capacity for the frigidaire and other one equipment which must be loaded.
To this end we have two gel accu`s with ingenious zelfdenkend stroomverdeel and load system.

We it luck during our test travel/holiday Woick have been possible go in Stuttgart. This is a matter with many overlanders equipment and here buys we beautiful white chair covers with the idea that that underway easily can be washed.
Flies and "Grassamen" for the radiator we have here also bought gauze.
Planning of the car
