Hi guys, first post ! Glad to have found you .
my competent mechanic, my dealer and my local "cruiser" shop cannot figure out why my '08 200 LC has no trailer harness kit . I note the two plugs mounted under the rear pass side bumper, 2 prong and 5 prong . They claim there are no oem parts. I dont want a uhaul hack job. ETrailer says ... see photo
And no way I have the skills for this

All the other of threads have links to parts or solutions that are expired or invalid.

Not only does E trailer not even list the year 2008 but when I select the harness it says there is an incompatibility issue .

Does anyone have the oem part number? ? The dealership seemed clueless so I don't know if I can trust their parts department.

There is no cheap option. Order the Toyota Wireframe for the Land Cruiser from a dealer. Ordered mine from Toyota of Nashua, NH who seems to know a thing or 2. 5 minute install and everything worked perfectly. Downside? It cost $150 including tax and shipping.

The part @stonepa linked to is available on Amazon for $172. Probably other sources cheaper. Not sure why your mechanic or searches didn't turn that up?

thanks guys. i really appreciate the oem number. i will call the other couple dealers in our state and check on amazon.
do you guys think its odd that a truck meant for off road doesnt have a harrness already hooked up??
also the part is called wire frame #3 lol. no wonder endless google searches yielded little.

Maybe a previous owner discarded it. Or perhaps as an early unit off the line it wasn't included. As far as I've seen it's the same for all years, LX570 and TLC. The part you linked above looks like it would fit no problem. I'll suggest that while you're back there monkeying with it that you install a breakout box on the harness for later use with lights and switched power at the rear of the truck.

The Hopkins part from etrailer will work. It just has to be installed in a specific manner that's not exactly intuitive. Its wiring is pinned to be installed not at the harness end point you have a picture of, but upstream on that harness at a junction closer to the driver side. Stupid thing is both those locations use the exact same plug, but the pin-outs are different. That's the only trick. Just helped a buddy who had the same issue on his 2008.

I have had the Hopkins harness for a long time now and use it often. Works just fine if installed with the above guidance in mind. It's actually awesome in that it has both 7-pin and 4-pin outputs built in so I don't have to bother with an adapter.

Or similar. You cut your harness and put inline. Now you can conveniently tap the trailer wires for whatever. I used mine for license plate lights and to trigger a backup camera.

hi guys, anyone know if the sequoia version of this will fit the 2 plugs? it would be SO cool to have a 7 pin and 4 pin option.
