That's right - no sense worryin about when it's gona happen - go ahead and get it out of the way on the morning of your first wheelin adventure! She did great though and never did panic. With a little expert spottin from Kowboy and some rear bumper weight thanks to Josh and the others she backed right out of it and commenced to driving on through the obsticle. Thanks to all for helping her have a great first trip out!

We had a great time wheelin' with Sherry.

She had nerves of steel and followed us all over the place in the Runner ... with ev'ry bit of a coupla inches of flex. Thang didn't have a dent on 'er when it got to Gilmer and left with a bunch. :grinpimp:

Besides ... she's a helluva lot nicer than Daryl ... and we weren't waitin' for 'im to change driveshafts all day. :flipoff2:

Okay, looks like a good first trip. What trail is that on? I am sure my 80 hasn't seen that one!!!

M-80 I was there seeing at all, as matter of fact, I am right next to Kowboy on that picture. This time I took my wifes 80 just like yours and let me tell you that thing was scarry even on Josh truck and his truck can do some flexing. There's no way the 80 would it done w/out coming out w/out any damage.

I am sure if I were to tell my wife that her truck broke, I would be in deep trouble!

Domek, did you camp or stay in one of the motels?

Sorry we missed the event. My job doesn't understand that these runs should be paid holidays for me!!!!!

It did do my heart good to see all the Land Cruisers and Tacos in Gilmer. Almost made me want to quit my job!!!

I did stay in camp. I did not have a tent but who needs one. The 80 it's more comfortable then the tent. I even got to see a movie on Saturday night.

I used to like my wifes' 80 but this last weekend fell in love with it.
It was warm, had the 2 screens w/ dvd player, room to sleep, room for some gear and more.

I already submitted a requisition to get the 80 for katemcy.

Just don't show her too many pictures of what you did at Barnwell and you should be okay!!!!

Since he didn't follow my most basic instructions to bring a comfortable chair and a buncha beer ... I tell ya exactly what the Fella done ....

He stood 'round and got thirsty.

Domek's all right Folks ... he just don't speak good english like us. :grinpimp:

Sir, I am sure you're refering to thick Texan accent and the lingo from your neck of the woods right?.

Looking forward for March. I will make sure to bring plenty of beer, some Tequila, since I know now you guys like that stuff, and some Burbon. Even if I had to drag it from Brownsville or accross the border

I know we ain't met yet but trust me, bring plenty of tequila and margarita mix and we'll get along just fine. I'm very easy to recognize because I'll be the one in the little silver jeep taking the scenic routes.

Bring the Tekillya for Butch! He seems to really enjoy it (going down at least).

Bodean I guess I missed the going down part but I"ll bring another brand of tequila as good as that one but with a more refine taste.

Bigcountry, I was under the impression that this event was an all Toyota truck and no Heeps allow.

Some friends of mine want to come and bring a XJS Cherokes but I told them "No", Only Yotas are allow on this event

Can they bring Heeps?

Domek, The Lone Star Toyota Jamboree is one particular event is a Toyota-only event, sorry. Out of respect for Toyota, a primary $pon$or, the event is closed to Toyotas (or Chevy's that look or used to look like Toyotas :grinpimp: ).

We even made "Toyota" part of the event name to try and eliminate confusion for drivers of other brands... however judging by the number of inquiries I got, I guess they are even slower than I suspected.:D

I am with you Brother! screw Heep & reckon yotas w/ chevys. I guess those friends of mine will have to ride with me or stay home on their Little Heeps.

Last year at Katemcy I met a guy with an Old blue Bronco. Can't remember how he got in but he was there.

Well, we're not exactly on the same page... that rule is for this event only, and only out of respect for Toyota's sponsorship is that rule enforced.

I'll wheel with anyone... I don't get too wrapped up in the make/model rivalry. In fact, some of the funest trips are when I get to see other rigs and learn about them.

My rigs have included Ford & Jeep, and may well again in the future. :D
