Why the decrease in mpg for '08?

They had both 07 and 08's on the lot. I noticed auto vs auto the 08's were 1 mpg less on hwy and city. Same tire size, what have I missed?

The EPA has changed how "mpg" are calculated. They are trying to get closer to the real world. I would say more than half of the all the 08 models mpg will go down.

Yeah, it was just a required recalculation. However, the AT tires might have a 'slight' negatve effect as well as someonw previously mentioned.

The '08 MPG claim in still higher then what I'm getting with my TRD SE. I get between 15-17 MPG.

I'm sure the Rack and BFG AT KO's are part of the problem, but mostly it's probably the "lead foot" mod that I did to it.
