Why in the heck would I have gas coming out of the bottom

of the charcoal canister?


I went to pull the tank cause I thought I had a gas leak then I noticed it was coming from the front. The bottom hose coming of the charcoal canister was just stuck in the frame and leaking or shall I say POURING . This thing is about 80 percent desmogged


IS THERE A HOSE HOOKED UP BACKWARDS? This boy I got it from really screwed up the hoses on this thing. I am now just really driving it everyday. Webber carb is going on next week

I agree with Juke.


I dropped a tank one time and crossed the return with the vent....I had gas coming from the frame..
 
This is a California ride so it has 2 charcoal canisters the vent and the purge was backwards(along with the other canister hoses) and sucking the gas right out of the tank even when sitting. Because I am going webber and a desmog I just dumped the canisters and slapped the vented gas cap back on......all is well. Even checked the tank pressure......little to none



I did go through the emissions guide after wards.....just about everything is wrong hose wise. I should have it cleaned up by next week.

My problems were very similar. Im tired of dumb idiots working on toyotas. I think we should clone wristy and distribute him globally for 50 bucks.

Alright, so after a week of having my weber gas has just started to flow out the same hose. This confuses me because I havent changed anything. It started pouring randomly as i was driving. Any Ideas? Im running a weber
 
I cannot tell you honestly why it happends . I ended up just trashing everything. I can tell you I am burning a little more gas but not much more. I just slapped another vented cap and plugged off the hose coming from the tank. I can say the pressure the tank is building is not much.....
