we use nutserts fort everything, because tech screws are banned in our workshop for 4wd acc mounting.
We have an air actuated gun, for 14mm [5/8] a pop rivet style hand gun, for 4-8mm [1/4]and a ratchet twin handle unit to set correct tensions on nutserts, [4-14mm] and we normally use areldite [super strong glue] on them to glue them in place, and seal the holes.
For smaller ones in painted body panels, like mounting flares etc, we also use knurled nutserts, interference fit, in case the paint stops them pulling up tight, so they dont spin.
