Why can't I delete some threads..?

why are there some areas I cannot delete a thread from?

like Hunting & Fishing?

non-chat areas don't allow the delete...had folks posting tech questions, getting answers, and then deleting the thread...and the others following it were 'upset' that they couldn't see the answer or lost good info.

so, option removed.

I posted a cell phone question in H&F and could not delete...
