Tokyo Auto Salon expecting concept cars and cutting-edge builds—and there were plenty.
But seeing a lovingly cared-for FJ40 reminded why the Land Cruiser legacy runs so deep.
Keeping classics alive isn’t nostalgia—it’s passion.

Can someone point to or update me on what happened to the "list" of requested heritage parts we were asking for? I went through this 40 parts web page and some of them are inscrutable why we got these. I mean we can fab an exhaust system pretty easily with lots of shops that do it....but some of the items on the 40 are not replaceable.

Perhaps this is indicative of why our list was always debatable...but personal opinion on distributors is "we have nothing sustainable". I'm aware of the world market dizzy that some vendors sell from the 1977 era...but that doesn't look sustainable to me. Nothing on it appears individually replaceable with new parts (e.g. vacuum advance) so that part looks like "you get a few of these and its whole unit only". Perhaps the DUI is where our only sustainable dizzy parts will come from. Just my personal ignorance probably but new and nos are really drying up.
