Hey TRT, BTW, Jacki was a real help and very friendly to deal with. Kudos.

Will be looking forward to reading some TT again.

RJ40, drohweder and Junk, thanks for the support.

and we must be doing something right if Junk actually posts a compliment!

I'll be sure to pass that along....

Happy Holidays! 8)

dang, got away from the 'cruiser sites for a while and forgot to renew last month! guess I can still do it online.

absolutely... but you might to either print out the app or contact Jacki directly 605-388-TLCA (8522)

You can request to back date your renewal and we'll send you any missed issues... and you can renew for multiple years!

thanks!

Tony,

Has there ever been a proposal for a life or permanent membership program? I suggested it a couple of years ago, but I don't know if any action was ever taken.

BTW, I will renew, mostly for the magazine.

I just dropped by because they were discussing the TLCA membership thing on the other list, and Gary doe not like that. :(

Yes Floyd... it was discussed and dropped mainly due to the many issues it would create.

However, TLCA is promoting multi year renewals to help avoid the yearly renewal game.

and yes, I also realized that any further conversation on LCML should be brought here and was just about to mention that, and will if it continues too much or gets off into other subjects.

Thanks for renewing Floyd!

If the "Life membership" idea won't work, how about some kind of automatic renewal. When a person signs up, he/she use a credit card, and check a block that permits the TLCA to automatically renew the membership each year. I would go for that. I think a lot of renewals are lost due to forgetfullness and procrastination. A letter would be sent to the member about a month before the renewal telling then that the charge is going to be made against the card in the following month, and giving them the opportunity to contact the organization to stop the renewal, or change billing information.

Let us try and remember it is almost the year 2004 ;) Most folks have internet and email, this would be the most efficient way to collect data and inform subscribers. Some how I know there are big changes coming down the pike :)

Yep!
I am a Re-newer :D

Didnt get my Trails for two maybe three Years ........... thats enough Pain.
I Re-join to be informed again to be a part of TLCA.

Henry.......i told you..........Ill be Back........... ;)

I gotta say I'm gonna be thinking about it pretty hard between now and when my current membership runs out. Getting my Nov/Dec TT before Jan might help get me fired back up again. Getting a mid-west run that I can actually go to might help as well.

Just renewed last week. :D

Tony Twiddy is an Awesome person. I MAKE SURE the husband gets renewed.

~Sonya (grouped with Russ 2 & 3)-- Who woulda known I'd end up on 'ih8mud', huh Tony?

yep Sonya, who'd a thunk.

but this place is all the better now that you're here!

Everyone, meet Sonya. A true cruiser chick. Takes the back of the 40 with no soft top on the hottest day of summer so her husband and son can enjoy a safe ride and participate.

what a gal!

awww... thanks Tony! I'm hopin to get a Cruiser for myself now. The husband (and everyone at the PMC swapmeet) converted me, I think. :D Not that I know (or honestly 'care' to know) all the in's and out's of the mechanics, but I do believe that Cruisers top the nicest rides out there.

I dont know how I ended up on this website... oh yeah.. to get stuff for the husband for Christmas. I dont know much about mechanics and parts, so its nice to go somewhere and ask for advice.. without ruining the surprise.

Oh yes, and the day in BLAZING heat this past Summer... I think I was outnumbered. haha. Nonetheless, it was an awesome experience; looking forward to more.. :D

Hello fellas! (and gals!)

Well, I was right. Getting the issue did get me fired up. I mentioned in this space that I had not gotten the issue and a couple of days later it arrives in my mailbox with a personal note.
The staff of the TT is on the ball and deserves much praise for both the quality of the issue and the quality of the member services.

Still looking for that mid-west run. Spaceghost had talked about a Badlands event. That'd sure be great.

thanks for the comments Todd. It is important to me that you're able to make that decision.

Also, we are a bit concerned that that issue did not originally arrive as intended... lets keep an eye on Jan/Feb and when it arrives. If not there by end of Jan, please contact Jacki to confirm mailing addy (but obviously we have correct 'cause this personal issue got there).

thanks Todd... this means a lot to us!

Tony

yeah, he and I have tossed that idea a couple times...just haven't sat down to organize it yet...

...if 2004 starts well, it might even be a IH8MUD.com sponsored event!
