Who's 62 was parked on addison?

Yep, I definitley still own it - and snaggletooth is one of my nicknames for the blue beast - refers to the hook on the front bumper. I live near Addison and Western, and it's the only car we have so it's out and about all the time.

Thanks for the welcome - had to join the board when I figured you were asking about my truck.

Looks like you, Patrick, and I are neighbors. He's at Addison and Southport, and I'm at Addison and Sacramento across from the target. You do your own wrenching on the snaggletooth? When things warm up and dry up a bit, Patrick (cruiserhunter) and I will be doing the front axle rebuild at my place. You're welcome to come watch, help, or do your own.

Okay, let me be upfront here: I LOVE my Landcruiser, but I don't know anything about cars. As far as things I have done with my bare hands (rather than a mechanic), they are limited to oil change, tire change, battery change, reset the fuse on the auto door locks). The fact that I was able to lower the spare tire from under the truck all by myself was a big deal. I WISH I could do all of that. My parents bought the LC when it was new, (it's an '89) and I happily inherited in '96. Next to everyone on this message board, I feel like a wannabe. But I probably love my truck as much as everyone else that owns one...

I'd definitely be interested in watching/helping/figuring out how to fix my own. It needs some help!

By the way, I'm Sarah. Nice to meet you, neighbors!

Who has the baby crap green 40 near Irving Park , Palaski, and Elston area? I've also seen a red 40 near Montrose and Keeler.

At least you can network with people here and know who the trusted LC mechanics are in the Chicago area. Welcome!

That's totally ok. Most of us never knew anything about our cruisers when we got them. We all kind of learned as we went. We'll keep you posted next time we wrench or get together for a beer or two.

The red 40 could possibly be mine, I am over on Tripp just north of Addison west of Pulaski. It's been inside for the winter. Love to take it out if you all are meeting sometime.

Hey all - looking for some advice. I'm reluctantly selling that very same blue 62, after years of avoiding it. Would you all recommend eBay, classifieds, or other? I learned to drive on this car 15 years ago, and it's hard to give it up, so I want to find someone who will love it as much I have... but of course I need to put the money towards the car I just bought so I want the best advice on selling it.

Any suggestions?

Post it up in the 4 Sale section and start a new thread here in the Windy City clubhouse corner. That way you'll be giving a cruiser head first shot.

Good luck and sorry to hear you're parting with it.

Harry
