hey, Im not trying to promote a business. Im really happy with the way a newb to Land Cruisers like myself has been treated in coming to this board. I run a performance shop here in Ocala, and I do a lot of custom exhaust work, I havent crawled under and looked at what they have stock, or what is aftermarket, so I was just wondering what would everyone think if i made a fully mandrel and ceramic coated exhaust? What im thinking is, you choose the size piping (tho there would be a recommended size either dual 2.5" or single 3") as well as muffler, dumps or full, etc. I can offer up a price if you would like and i am willing to bet it would beat most if not all companies.
Again, im not trying to sell a product, im going to make my own exhaust and was wondering if anyone else would like something like it... I can give pics of my previous work if you're not sure, or just contact me and i can let you know anything you want. Bloody hell, looking back it sounds like an Ebay add. So ill just leave it at that.
I have a 73 as a template so i can give you a quick estimate if you'd like.

Again, if ive over-stepped my boundaries, im sorry.
just trying to help out,

I could use a 3" mandres exhaust for my 2F turbo LC.

Unfortunately it would have to be custom. 14 bolt and 4 link rear neccistates that.

Sounds interesting. I don't know of any manufacturers of LC exhausts who ceramic coat the muffler system. Downey and Man-a-Fre both have ceramic headers, but not exhausts.

Does it really help to reduce the temperature and help prevent rust?

Thanks

I'm going to need a new exhaust system. By the time I pay to have someone weld it up am I better of going this way or just having it all done at a custom shop?

No one is making an aftermarket bolt on exhaust sytem for the FJ62 with tuned headers. A nice 2.25 system with O2 bungs welded in would probably sell well. If the price was right and it was designed in pieces for easy shipping, I would buy today.

that thread went better than expected.. lol.. some of you are concerned with shipping size etc, so if need be it could have ball and socket flanges (no gaskets) welded in so you bolt it in, or it could be set in and welded in for those who want one-piece, i guess either route is optional... I will get under there today and see how much its going to take so i can get to mandrel-ing... as i said before i have a 73 fj40, how different are those compared to the others exhaust-wise? and diesels? is anyone in florida where i could check out under another style?

and herky, you could do an exhaust shop, but even the "performance" shops around here use crimp bent exhaust not mandrels.
