I would like to go pick out a Christmas tree, cut it down and haul it home on top the cruiser. Who still does this in Socal?

More remote that mountainous. It's near the Tecate border crossing.SOCALFJ said:Is that up in the mtns or some lot in the city growing them?
If it was in the mtns, i might make a day of it.
We cut our own tree every year. Down in Potrero. All size trees cheap @ $20-40.
That's pretty damn far away for you though.
Yep, they are still open. We just picked up our tree Saturday. We typically "tag" the tree the weekend of Thanksgiving then pick it up on a latter date.blupaddler said:Do you know if they're still open after the fires? Also what kind of trees? (Noble fir or Douglas fir)
Thanks!
