Besides Diamond, Sky, and Trail Gear.

I came across a surprise drainage ditch at 30mph in the middle of a dirt road and my front axle liked it so much it's permanently smiling at me

I want an aftermarket housing 'cause I want to go wider and stronger. I have a rear 8" out of a 2nd or 3rd gen 4runner that's 60" wide, so I'd like a front axle that's 61-63" wide to complement it.

I'd love a diamond, but they're expensive at $900 for a bare housing w/ no frills and I'd still have to buy new inners for my longs.

I absolutely refuse to buy any more stuff from trail-gear due to my personal opinion of their business practices.

So who else is there? Sky isn't much cheaper than Diamond and their housings look a bit more "garage built" than the others.

Allpro has one i think but it may just be a diamond housing, anyway you look at it i think your gonna have to pay around $800 bones for one.

do to your personal ethics your probably going to have to pay more which i respect, companies that design and develop things expect to sell things at a high price to recoup there R&D, when other companies just copy it and have it made other places they can sell it cheaper not that I'm accusing anyone of that.

By the way i think your dad bought a 4runner form me one time, is that the ARB bumper you have on your toy

My dad has never owned a 4runner, and my pickup doesn't have an ARB, just my 80.

Thanks for the input. I'll have to see how the cash situation looks after the holidays. I'd love a diamond, but for some reason thought they were $600 not $900.

Crossed up offroad also makes a front housing. Crossed Up Off-Road

Just remember, you get what you pay for. I ended up going diamond, but by the time it gets to my house (without knuckles, brakes, 3rd, etc) its around $2600. Not cheap, but Im tired of replacing these housings.

If your really being that cheap about it, drop in a fj80, fj60 or dana 44 front to match the 60" wide rear

How did you get from $900 to $2600 w/o any of the guts?!?

For that kind of money, I think I'd be ahead in the end to part out my current axle and build a Spider9.

$2600 got me a 62" wide housing, with longs, custom inners, knuckle braces, spring perches, U bolt/top plates, 1 hub, knuckle rebuild kit, wheel bearing kit, new tie rod/drag link, shipping, etc. It adds up really really fast, and I still need tie rod ends, a pitman arm, spring perches, shock mounts, shocks, etc.
