Recently replaced my rad, fan clutch, and some other misc. cooling items, truck runs great, but I've started to get a pulsating whirring noise. Most notable at idle and doesn't change when the truck is warmed up. It does get more consistent at higher rpms (Side note, I wish I could manipulate my throttle from the engine bay), but you can really tell it doesn't sound right at idle. Ive tried to isolate it, thinking it was a pulley or something on the belt, but even with the belt off it persists, leading me to believe something is up with the crank pulley and TB/WP. I didn't mess with either of them, given that the truck got it replaced 30k ago. I dont know exact temps, but all my gauges are at normal ranges per Toyota.
Other minor observations and things I still need to look into are an occasional p0456 code for minor evap leak, usually pops on after refueling. Also, after refueling and on startups I get a decent smell of gas. And the truck seems to run quite lean, I will go for a drive, and no matter if it was 10 minutes or an hour, it will sound like a bowl of Rice Krispies underneath. Any ideas? Really hoping It's not a TB/WP issue, but i dont know how those would manifest themselves.
