I am curious to see just how many of you religiously follow the recommended fuel grade guideline and how many of you don't care and use cheaper fuel.

Dealer told me to put whatever I felt like in, which is usually 89

I know on the LX 570 it is 91, I am not sure about the LC, but I don't think they have a recommended fuel grade. Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong here.

I have for the most part always put 87 in mine.
Now I will say anytime I have the choice I always go with pure gas, not the 10% ethanol blended gas.

Here in my part of Texas we only have 87, 89, and 93. Finding 91 is rare and usually only seen at Chevron stations. This is why I have been using 89 and plan to stay with that unless I am at a pump that offers 91. Spending .70-90cents more for 93 isn't worth it.

Texas Costco 87, Buc-ee's 87, HEB 87, on rare occasion Valero 87

My understanding from somewhere on here was the LC recommendation was only the 87. I seem to recall some speculating that accounted for the difference of .1 of published MPG ratings. I don’t do it to be cheap and would put in 91 if it’s recommended or has an established benefit.

Here we go again

Haha, I didn't start this to argue the assumed proper octane needs of the LX vs the LC, I was simply curious as to what most of you guys were using.

It looks like Costco fuel is popular, who supplies them? I wish we had one closer, I tend to use Shell or HEB.

In NY we only get the 10% Ethanol blend unless you want to pay a lot more when you can find the non-ethanol options. So far its been running great.
