It’s a very long story but the bottom line is that my Lowrance Baja 540GPS unit got destroyed over the weekend. (Let me just say that my dog Hurley will be s******g GPS parts for the next few days!

It looks like I now have a great excuse to upgrade the GPS unit in my 60. (And right around Christmas time? Don’t you hate when that happens!
) Please let me know what GPS units you all are using in your Cruisers. Any pros and cons (such as how viable the unit is once you get off the beaten path), would be helpful. Also, if you could include photos of where you mounted yours, it would be greatly appreciated. (My GPS unit was hard mounted on top of my dash under the rearview mirror, but I am open to mounting its replacement in a different location.)
