Wheres the lift?

Well I just installed a set of Fabtech upper control arms with Downey busihings on my 84 2wd 22r and got zero lift. So now I go to buy some Downey torsion bars and they are not available until December?! Has anyone used V6 torsion bars on 22r pickup with any sucess?

Torsion bars off of a one ton 2wd are better and achive more lift than Downey or v6 torsion bars........ Jim @ Downey off-road will tell you himself- My bro has a oneton 85 w/the downey 2wd set up and he cranked a good amount of lift out of those torsion bars!

Cool I will have to look for those. Was your bros 1ton a V6 model? The reason I ask is I am not sure if they will slip right into the 22r brackets or if I will need all the V6 stuff.

They only made one tons in 4 cyl model if I remeber correctly...... But they should slip right in.........

That sounds good. I have heard that Downey torsion bars are just the V6 torsion bars. I wonder if that true? Thanks man
