Where is the vin located?

On the FJ cruiser, I was looking into the windshield and I couldn't find my vin number, where is it located? Say a metermaid came by and decided to write me a ticket, how would they obtain my VIN number?

should be driver side just behind window

On the FJ it is located just about everywhere. The hood, door jambs, fenders, just about every major body part.

They don't use your VIN for a ticket, they use your license plate number.

I'd steal it off your frame behind the front passenger side wheel. Here you would write in the VIN when the plates are expired or non-existent.
