Where is my oil going?

Yes there is a drain plug, and I did make sure that it was tightened. It is on the bottom rear of the oil pan for those who don't know.

I tried to start my rig again, and this time I noticed some smoke coming from the vent hole in the top back of the valve cover. Is this evident of sme problem that I might have? BTW, it is not during idling, nor is the engine even near to warm, but when it decides to fire for a couple of seconds, it does this. Any advice?

Ha! I'm really getting somewhere now! Replaced the valve cover gasket over the weekend and I lost half a quart of oil in 200 miles.

Woo Hoo!

Next is the oil cooler and manual oil pressure sending guage - after that, I'll look at the inspection covers for the push rods.

Amazing how I could loose SO much oil in all of these weird little places like that.

Put the breather hose back on and you wont see any smoke anymore. :)

Well, thank you for the advice. Right now, my engine is in pieces, so when it goes back together, I'll do that, HAHAHAHA!!!
