I am adding in a Dakota SGI-100BT signal interface because of larger tire circumference.

Do the VSS wires go straight to the cluster after the transfer case, or do they come in elsewhere first (like the kick panel)? I have no experience with this and am planning the best and least intrusive way to make this mod.

Also, I welcome photos on how you have done this on yours.

Thanks in advance \m/\m/

The VSS is part of the main engine harness that goes through the passenger side firewall.

It then goes to the combination meter first, which cleans up the signal and runs the speedometer.

It then goes to the Toyota ECM...

The first connector is on the side of the transmission, 2nd by the starter, and a connector behind the glove box, and finally to the cluster.

This is from my LX450 manual. I think IL1 is IH1 on a Toyota. Not sure about the others.
