When I unlock the car, the dome lights are very dim, how to adjust?

I was looking for a feature where the drls would light up when you unlock the door, due to this I noticed that my cockpit dome lights light up very dimly when I unlock the door. When I finally open the door it brightens up.... How can I set it in such a way that it's at maximum brightness when unlocking... There is also a feature that when the car is approached even if still unlocked the dome lights would light up. I hope someone has experience on this and can share...

That's weird, my 2011 and the two other 2017s in our family have dome lights that come on at full brightness when you unlock or approach the car while locked. The parking lights in the 2017 also turn on when you unlock. Is your VDJ a local Philippine release unit (VDJ200L-GNTEZ) or a GCC (middle east unit)?

Do they brighten when the care starts? Maybe a low battery?
