Need to buy new wheels for my hzj77 and I'm having trouble finding the proper fitment. I need 3.5" backspacing does anybody know who makes a wheel to fit, I want to run a 16" tire or does anyone have some for sale. I found lots with 4" or 4.5" bs any thoughts on running spacers.

Is that all that is keeping from returning to the road? :)

So I assume the insurance company finally got their act together?

I put on Mickey Thompson Classic III's. a step up in quality compared to the Classic II's and come in a 16x8 with 3 5/8" back spacing. That's what I am running now and I've been nothing but happy with them.

Not sure about how available these are, but Toyota 42601-60262-03 fit fine. 16x6" with 3.25" backspace IIRC. The -03 denotes painted grey.

Heavy steel wheels. I have 235/85-16 Duratracs on them.

The toyota option is a good one especially the cost. The problem with them is that a 6" wide rim is too narrow for a lot of the tire options people are looking at. I run 255/85 on a 16x8 rim and I certainly would not want to go with a rim any narrower than what I have now.

Excellent wheels. My truck has one set with LT235-85R16-A/T and another set with LT265-75R16-M+S. Both give the same 10% OD, so speed and odo correction is simple. I've run them for years with never any problems.

16x7 would be a fine size. You can get them off the LJ78s and they work just fine. I have another set that I still need to ship up to me. I run that same rim with my 235/85/16s winters

I have 16x8s rims with 255 toyos and so far I am loving them. That tire size looks great on the truck.
I am dreaming about 35x10.5s. But I think 900r16s would be a nice size too but ones low range would be hurting with that.

LJ78 OEM rims is 16x6 not 16x7. Personally I would not run anything much wider than a 235/85R16 on them. My next set of tires will be 255/85R16, and I'll have to upgrade my rims to custom.

I looked at them but I want to run a 33" tire either 285/75/16 or 255/85/16 that wheel maybe to narrow

What are the guys on the 60 series forum using? They may even have some for sale.
Same backspacing as a 70 AFAIK.
