My co-worker wants to go wheeling somewhere on Sunday. Anyone interested in joining? Luke suggested China Wall, maybe we can see the newest 40 in action!
Oh... and if you get a chance to stop by the second hand sporting goods store in Woodland Park, (in the shopping center behind Wendy's) and check out the Imported Japanese 1998 Honda Pickup. 3-cylinder, 4x4, right hand drive, pretty cool.
I can't believe all the things I have going on right now......
Some of them I have to do and the rest of my spare time doesn't go far enough for the things I want to. I think I'll just have to quit work so I have more free time.......
Now that I think about it I guess work is in the list of things I have to do.
Long story short, I going to pencil it in. I want to climb the rock on china wall to see if my front drive shaft pulls apart as a test to see if I need a long spline front drive shaft.
Sweet. If everyone is agreeable we can make the meeting time/place 10 at the grocery store in Divide that way Luke and Chuck don't have to backtrack. And they have better food and bathrooms than the western. If anyone has a SWR meter that we could borrow I'd appreciate it.
So... plans changed.:whoops: Saturday would work better for me, but since I got everyone's hopes up let me know if sat or sun works best for all of you. Most votes wins!
I have my HAM radio test on Saturday, so that would put me out. Would not hurt my feelings though, I have a ton of things I could/should be doing this Sunday.
Not sure the cruiser will be ready anyway, I have the E-brake setup all torn apart trying to figure out why it's not working. Having a vehicle equipped with a manual and no E-brake is terrible.

Makes you real careful about picking your parking spots though!
I'd like to make it on Sunday. Can't on Saturday as I'm going up to Casle Rock to pick up a set of axles for the 40 - Between the leaking bushing (no seal on the early axles) and the price/availability of early drum brake parts (and still having drums when you're done), I've decided to just do a disc swap and be done with it.
If anybody is interested, the guy I'm getting the axles from is parting a 55. I can put you in touch and pick up anything you work out.
But back on topic ... I'd like to go Sunday, but don't change plans on my account as I'm not sure about that either.
Ben and I are planning to try Hackett and maybe Metberry tomorrow. Leaving the springs around 9:30ish. If anyone wants to join call or text me at 719.371.1983
I'll take a camera and get some shots.
I'm probably not going to make it Saturday or Sunday. I'm putting the rear seats and all the seatbelts in the rig now, and I still haven't put the E-brake back together. Could go in the red pickup, but I need to stay home and get something done. Have fun.
I will be there on Sunday and will bring my propane grill, available for anyone who wants to use it. Hot dogs, brats, etc. are fine; please don't bring burgers because of the excessive grease they produce.
Please post the meeting time. Is it 10AM or something else?
Since no one has posted anything about the meet/leave time since the first suggestion for 10AM at the Divide grocery store, I will be there at 10AM. vic
